Orbital satellite battery designed for application on orbit and hardened for the space environment, measuring 13.5" x 11" x 5", attached to a metal plate which reads: "Torque 10-14 IN LB" and "Warning: Before Lifting Secure Battery Pack to Plate." The battery pack has yellow-capped ports marked "J1" and "J2" at either end, and is made up of a series of 24 General Electric battery cells, dated to February 1983, and topped by a finned heatsink. A bracket on the side of the battery is marked: "3503530-101, SN18." A protective plastic cover is screwed to the bottom plate. The battery was designed to provide DC power to the satellite via its electrical bus. In fine condition. Accompanied by a gray plastic carrying case, which, with the battery stored inside, weighs 28 pounds.
