He is remembered for his conversion to Catholicism, for his great patronage of the arts, and for fathering a vast number of children. Manuscript DS in German, signed “Augustus Rex,” one page both sides, 7.75 x 12.75, January 19, 1703. Untranslated document signed at the conclusion by Augustus II. In very good to fine condition, with seal-related staining (wax seal no longer present).
