French social reformer (1747-1827) who wrote on economic questions, was one of the first promoters of vaccination in France, and famously toured the United States and Canada in the 1790s. ALS in French, signed “La R. Liancourt,” one page, 7.5 x 9.5, September 18, 1807. Untranslated handwritten letter by the noted reformer. In very good to fine condition, with overall toning and soiling, a mounting strip to the left edge, and some chipping to the right edge.
