(20th Century Fox, 1980) Uncommon original color 40 x 60 heavy cardstock movie poster for the 1980 space opera The Empire Strikes Back, which features Roger Kastel's famous 'Gone With the Wind' style artwork of Hans Solo, Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker on a tauntaun, R2-D2, C-3PO, and Chewbacca below a large image of Darth Vader's upper helmet, with upper text reading: "The Star Wars Saga Continues." Lower portion contains cast and crew credits, production details, and "PG" rating; and the bottom border features the GAU Union bug, NSS information, and reads: "Printed In U.S.A." and "Empire Strikes Back 800001"; the upper border reads "Empire Strikes Back 800001" upside down. Rolled and in very good condition, with staple holes to corners, a large tear to bottom edge, a puncture below R2-D2, scattered creasing, and edgewear, which includes small tears and dampstaining.
