Three scarce 'Texas Welcome' items: a souvenir program booklet for the event, 8.5 x 11, 16 pages, containing brief biographies of the guests plus local advertisements; and two 7 x 9.75 invitations for the dinner, scheduled for November 22, 1963, at 7:30 PM. In fine condition. Organized by the State Democratic Executive Committee, more than 5,000 Austinites planned to attend this fundraising dinner on the final stop of the president's tour of Texas. Scheduled to occur on the night of Kennedy's assassination, the dinner would never take place.
