Second mortgage bond carrying a 8% rate, signed in ink by the company's president, "Galusha A. Grow," and by its secretary and a trustee. Also endorsed on the reverse by Grow. The certificate features a large vignette of a steam-powered train blasting its way through the West. In fine condition. Galusha Grow (1822-1907) was a prominent politician, lawyer, writer, and businessman who served as Speaker of the House of Representatives from 1861 to 1863.
