The certificate boasts attractive vignettes of allegorical women and the state seal of Louisiana, and is signed in ink by Governor Henry C. Warmoth, "H. C. Warmoth," and Secretary of State George E. Bovee, "Geo. E. Bovee." In fine condition. Warmoth (1842-1931) became governor of Louisiana at the age of 26, leading the state during the Reconstruction era from 1868 to 1872.
