Bond of the State of Nevada for $1000 issued at Carson City on March 1, 1867, 15 x 17.25, with one coupon intact below. The certificate boasts an attractive vignette of a classic boomtown, and is signed in ink by Governor Henry G. Blasdel, "H. G. Blasdel." The bond carried a lofty rate of 15%, "payable in United States Gold and Silver Coin." The large silver seal affixed to the lower left remains intact. In fine condition. Blasdel (1825-1900) served as the first governor of Nevada, during the end of the Civil War and the first years of the Reconstruction era.
