State of Connecticut Comptroller's Office pay order issued to Treasurer Peter Colt, in part: "Pay Moses Butler Twenty Pounds…out of the Taxes appropriated for the P[aymen]t of the Civil List, and charge the State." Mounted, matted, and framed to an overall size of 14 x 12. In fine condition, with a circular cancellation hole to the center.
