Edward W. Bok (1863-1930) was the Pulitzer Prize-winning editor of The Ladies Home Journal; his wife Mary Louise Curtis (1876-1970) founded the the Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. Bedford (1849-1931) was a notable Standard Oil executive.
