Issued to Alfonso Marconi, the certificate boasts a fantastic vignette of an allegorical Justice connecting the world's two hemispheres, endorsed on the reverse in ink by Alfonso Marconi. In fine condition, with some light staining to reverse.
The older brother of radio pioneer Guglielmo Marconi, Alfonso Marconi (1865-1936) assisted Guglielmo in many of his early experiments on long-distance radio transmission. Alfonso would serve as a director of the American International Marine Communication Company, and is remembered as an avid collector of stringed instruments.
