Uncommon $500 antique bond of the Staten Island Midland Railroad Company issued December 1, 1890, 19 x 24, complete with 60 attached bond coupons. A first mortgage bond carrying a 5% rate that has been left incomplete. Printed by Chas. F. Ketchum & Co., this intricately engraved bond features a trio of great vignettes: the New York State Seal at the top center, an eagle at the left side, and a horse drawn trolley at the right. In fine condition. The Staten Island Midland Railroad operated five lines in central Staten Island, New York. Four of the lines terminated at the St. George Ferry Terminal, the fifth at Livingston.
