Description

Rare DS, one page, 8.5 x 18, October 15, 1880. Hudson River Railroad Company financial document listing stockholders' receipts for dividends, signed in ink by Frederick William Vanderbilt ("F. W. Vanderbilt"), Jacob Hand Vanderbilt ("J. H. Vanderbilt"), and twice by William Kissam Vanderbilt ("W. K. Vanderbilt"). In fine condition.

Frederick W. Vanderbilt (1856-1938) was a director of the New York Central Railroad for 61 years. Jacob H. Vanderbilt (1807-1893) was the brother of Cornelius Vanderbilt and a steamboat entrepreneur. William K. Vanderbilt (1849-1920) famously managed his family's railroad empire and raced thoroughbred horses.
