New York Mets outfielder Frank Thomas's game-used cleats from the team's inaugural 1962 season, each signed on the heel in black felt tip, "Frank Thomas, 1951-1966." The simple black leather spikes have replacement laces, and exhibit extensive wear from use. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Thomas.
Despite the Mets' historically poor inaugural season, Thomas proved to be one of the few bright spots in the team's lineup. Crowned as the cleanup man, he batted .266, clubbed 34 homers, and drove in 94 runs.
