Two original small glossy booking photos of Ruby taken by the Dallas Police after his arrest for the murder of Lee Harvey Oswald: one 4 x 5 photo of him standing at full-length; and one 4.5 x 2.75 mugshot of his face and profile. One is annotated on the reverse in ink: "Jack Ruby, Taken the day he was booked into County Jail, 11-25-63." The rest of the archive comprises 12 original period photos, including one of the sheriff’s office in the jail on the day Ruby was arrested, several of Ruby’s trial and its participants, and the Texas School Book Depository. In overall fine condition.
Provenance: from the collection of James Cron, who worked as a civilian employee of the Dallas Police Department from 1958 to 1964, and as a deputy sheriff with the Dallas County Sheriff's Office from 1964 to 1993, where he served as a crime scene investigator.
