Description

Official 1973 Inaugural Guide Book for the second inauguration of Richard Nixon, 32 pages, 4.5 x 6, signed inside over his image in blue felt tip, “Spiro T. Agnew.” In very fine condition. On October 10, 1973, Spiro Agnew resigned his position as Vice President and pleaded no contest to criminal charges of tax evasion and money laundering while he was governor of Maryland. Gerald Ford, then House Minority Leader, was nominated to take Agnew's position on October 12, and on December 6th, the House confirmed Ford by a vote of 387 to 35.
