Five TLSs signed “Peter,” each one page, ranging in size from 6 x 8 to 8.5 x 11, dated between 1962 and 1965, all addressed to noted Hollywood publicist John Springer. The bulk of the letters consist of pleasantries and messages of thanks, with the letter from May 29, 1965, containing content related to his upcoming work and film schedule, in part: “I received the book ‘fancies and Goodnights’ from Theo, but I haven’t had an opportunity to read ‘Sleeping Beauty’ so far…We are hard at work, and I have a very big part in this film, so I don’t have much spare time. I am very interested in what you say about Hal Prince, and I would like to read ‘The Cook’ as soon as possible. I think I should inform you of my future commitments, so you can tell Hal, just in case he has any idea of doing the film in the immediate future. After I have finished the film I am at present working on—‘After the Fox’—I do ‘The Egyptologists’ with Bryan Forbes, and then ‘Rhinoceros’ with Sandy Mackendrick directing, which will take me up to April or May of next year.” Includes a TLS from Britt Ekland signed “Sincerely, Britt Sellers,” exclaiming that “Peter and I are thrilled with Victoria.” In overall fine condition.
