Irish satirist, a playwright, poet, and long-term owner of the London Theatre Royal, Drury Lane (1751-1816). ALS signed “R. B. Sheridan,” one page, 7.5 x 9.25, August 19, 1783. Handwritten letter on a financial matter, in part: "I have enquired about your arrears & find there is now a half year in Mr. Herbert's hands and the other will soon be issued." In very good to fine condition, with scattered light stains, and a thin strip of toning along the top edge.
