(Walt Disney Studios, 1961) Original hand-painted master background of a snow-covered barn from One Hundred and One Dalmatians, which depicts the Dearly Farm during winter, with an abundance of small paw prints leading down a path into one of the barn's doors. A cel line overlay is placed on a hand-painted production background from the same film that measures 15.5 x 12.5 and is marked along the bottom: "Tintcraft - 2110, Sec. 014m Sc. 1." In fine condition, some creasing and two short edge tears to cel overlay.
The new Ub Iwerks Xerox technology for cel outlines was used in the making of One Hundred and One Dalmatians, and backgrounds on this film were done by Al Dumpster, Ralph Hulett, Anthony Rizzi, and Bill Layne. A magnificent 16-field hand-painted production background of the snow-laden barn—production backgrounds from One Hundred and One Dalmatians are considered very hard to find.
