Description

English biologist and paleontologist (1804-1892) best known for interpreting fossils and coining the term 'dinosaur.' ALS in French, signed “Richard Owen C.B., Associe Etranger de l'Academie des Sciences,” one page, 4.5 x 7.25, Sheen Lodge letterhead, December 10, 1882. Handwritten letter in French donating 50 francs "towards the fund for the medal in honor of Mr. Dumas." In fine condition.
