Handwritten letter regarding the beautiful English countryside, in part: "Did you get a peep into Borrowdale? If you did, you will have seen more, altogether, than generally falls to the lot of lake visitors to see, and you will have probably altogether had better weather. Was you pleased with your tour of yesterday? I am sorry that I was not able to accompany you through the whole journey…I hope to be able to show you more of this delightful scenery." In fine condition, with intersecting folds and a few small stains.
