Native American dancer, singer, and activist (c. 1891-1992) who became one of the principal artists in the Ziegfeld Follies. Vintage matte-finish 8 x 10 photo of Esther Louise Georgette Deer in costume, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "Aboriginally yours, Princess White Deer, Kan-tio kwi osta, Hitchy-Koo 1919.” In very good to fine condition, with a crease to the blank background, a heavier crease to the lower right edge, and light silvering to the darker areas of the image.
