Eminent French sculptor (1834-1904) best known for designing the Statue of Liberty. ALS in French, signed “Bartholdi,” three pages on two adjoining sheets, 5.25 x 8.25, personal letterhead, February 13, 1889. Untranslated handwritten letter by Bartholdi, with a handwritten postscript signed with his initial, "B." In very good to fine condition, with light staining and soiling.
