Two ALSs: one signed "Jenny Lind," three pages on two adjoining sheets, December 21, 1850, in part: "Excuse me for not having written to you long before this to thank you for your most kind letter and your therein expressed sympathy for my indisposition…I am entirely recovered and begin to feel like myself again.I have every reason to be perfectly happy and thankful and it gives me still more pleasure to add that Mr. Barnum has chiefly contributed thereto, acting in the most considered and kind manner towards us all"; and an untranslated ALS in German, signed "Jenny Goldschmidt geb. Lind," three pages on two adjoining sheets, March 6, 1852. In overall fine condition, with the English letter mounted on a worn scrapbook page. Accompanied by two unsigned programs for Lind's performances.
