American entertainer and dwarf from New Hampshire (1848-1881) who became one of P. T. Barnum's major attractions at New York's American Museum. Ink signature, "Commodore G. W. M. Nutt,” on a special off-white 5 x 2.75 slip from Barnum's Museum imprinted with his image and claim to fame, "The Smallest Man Alive," dated June 25, 1862. In fine condition, with a small rusty paperclip impression to the right edge.
