Description

Impressive Space Shuttle hardware display plaque, 13 x 10.5, with engraved plate at the top: "For Dedicated Service to NASA MSFC: SSME Turbopump—Turbine Blade, Anti-Rotation Spring and Static Seals." Mounted on the display are a small turbine blade (serial no. DSG726) for the Space Shuttle Main Engine (SSME) High Pressure Fuel Turbopump (HPFTP), flown on the Space Shuttle Endeavour for STS-97, designed to withstand operational temperature extremes from -260˚ F to 1,500˚ F. Also mounted are a Main Lox Turbine Bearing Anti-Rotation Preload Spring (serial no. 2115723), and Main Fuel and Lox Turbine Drain Seals (RD261-3014-0200 (2″) and -0300 (3″), and RD261-3017-0600 (5/8″). In fine condition. Accompanied by Rockwell International/Rocketdyne Division cleaning tags for the anti-rotation preload spring.
