Uncommon manual entitled “The Apollo 15 Lunar Samples,” reproduced and distributed by The Lunar Science Institute of Houston, Texas, edited by J. W. Chamberlain and C. Watkins, 8.5 x 11, 525 pages, October 1972. The preface reads, in part: “The Lunar Science Institute, at the suggestion of NASA’s Lunar Sample Analysis Planning Team, undertook to produce this volume of short papers, similar in scope to the expanded abstracts of the Conference papers that we published immediately after the [Third Lunar Science Conference]…This volume is…intended to focus attention on the variety of research being conducted on Apollo 15 samples.” Section include: I. Geologic Setting, II. Mineralogy and Petrology, III. Major and Trace Elements, IV. Gases and Volatiles, V. Carbon Chemistry, VI. Isotopes, Aging, and Tracks, VII. Microcratering, VIII.
