ALS in French, two pages on two adjoining sheets, 3.75 x 6.25, Boulevard Malesherbes letterhead, March 19, 1878. Handwritten letter to a fellow painter, "Robert Fleury," sending thanks for offering his sincere impressions of his work, writing (translated): "A compliment from you is the best encouragement I can receive to work hard." In fine condition.
