Partly-printed DS, signed “Wm. Williams,” one page, 7.25 x 11.75, July 26, 1781. Document headed "At a Meeting of the Governor and Council of Safety at Lebanon," in part: "On the Representation of Commissary Richards…at the Post of New London, for the Garrisons at New London or Groton, and for the Prisoners brought into New London, and the flags sent as occasion required—shewing the necessity of salted and fresh beef and flower for use at said post. Resolved, that the Committee of Pay-Table draw on the Treasurer in favour of Said Comissary…for one hundred and ten barrels of salted provisions." Signed along the bottom, "Extract from the Minutes, Test. Wm. Williams, Clerk." In very good to fine condition, with split folds repaired with archival tape.
