King of France (born 1601) from 1610 until his death in 1643, whose reign was heavily influenced by his mother, Marie de' Medici, and his chief minister, Cardinal Richelieu. Manuscript DS, in French, signed “Louis,” one page both sides, 9 x 14, 1621. Document issued at Lyon, evidently concerning finances. Signed at the conclusion by King Louis XIII. In very good to fine condition, with light soiling, creasing, and an unobtrusive tear touching a few words of text.
