Description

Uncommon Elektra Records promotional package for the 1969 self-titled debut by The Stooges, which contains: two glossy 8 x 10 photos of “Iggy Stooge” and the full band; a two-page background and biography dated to July 1969; a 45 RPM record for the band’s first single ‘I Wanna Be Your Dog,’ with both sides marked “For Radio Station Use Only”; and a stereo pressing (EKS-74051) of the band’s self-titled debut LP, with the front cover bearing an affixed “Promotional Copy, Not For Sale” label. Includes the original “The Stooges” promotional folder, and an Elektra Records color poster 19 x 26 poster for the debut album. In overall very good to fine condition, with light toning and soiling to the folder (partial separation to upper spine), folds (as issued) to poster, some creasing to bio and photos, and an area of surface loss to the single's label. The record is included.
