French statesman (1860-1934) who was Prime Minister of France on five separate occasions and who served as President from 1913 to 1920. ALS in French, signed "R. Poincare," one page, 4.5 x 7, Senate letterhead, February 19, 1921. Letter to a colleague. In full (translated): "I hasten to confirm what I told you on the Senate floor. I do accept to take part in the committee of the association you preside. I used to live in the 16th district before being President of France and I have returned to the same neighborhood to end my life there. Therefore, I will always take great interest in all the initiatives that will favor this area of Paris." In fine condition, with some light toning. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, which is affixed to the blank integral page.
