Description

American singer, songwriter, bass guitarist and writer (born 1949) who was in several important, early punk bands, including Neon Boys, Television and The Heartbreakers, after which he formed Richard Hell & the Voidoids; their 1977 album Blank Generation influenced many other punk bands. ALS signed “Hell,” one page, 8.5 x 11, no date. Handwritten letter to friend and former Voidoids guitarist Robert Quine, in full: "There's another take of me reading that could well be better than this but this is what I have here and it'll do to show you what's up. I enclose the text just in case it's of any use in marking passages you think'd be helpful by music." In fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, with Hell adding his surname to the return address field.
