"Of course I can remember some of 1936 but don't think I could write anything interesting about the year

ALS, one page on a 5.5 x 3.5 personal stationery card, May 31, 2000. Letter to Mamie Mitchell, editor at Tallfellow Press, in full: "Thank you for your letter and the invitation to contribute to the book. Of course I can remember some of 1936 but don't think I could write anything interesting about the year." In very fine condition. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope, addressed in Guinness's own hand.
