Partial partly-printed DS as president, signed “J. Tyler,” one page, 12 x 15.75, May 3, 1844. Partial four-language ship's paper issued to "Robert Murray Jr., master or commander of the Ship called Aralunche…lying at present in the port of Philadelphia…and laden with Sundries." Prominently signed at center by President Tyler and countersigned by Secretary of state Abel P. Upshur. The white seal affixed to the left edge remains intact. In very good condition, with light staining to trimmed edges (removing part of the Spanish text and all of the French), and some brushing to the exceedingly bold signature.
