Description

ALS signed “Wm. H. Taft,” one page, 5 x 7.5, personal letterhead, June 27, 1917. Handwritten letter, in full: "Thank you, my dear Colonel Parker for your kindly note. I was sorry that the catching of a train prevented my checking your progress and shaking your hand. I hope I am off today for Canada. I wish for you a delightful summer." In fine condition, with slightly trimmed edges and old mounting residue along the back of the left edge. Accompanied by an unsigned engraved portrait.
