Two items: a first edition of Little America published by G. P. Putnam's Sons in 1930, hardcover with dust jacket, signed in fountain pen on a slip tipped into the half-title page, "R. E. Byrd"; and a postcard carried from America to Little America on the Ice Breaker S. S. 'Bear of Oakland' during Byrd's second Antarctic expedition, signed in fountain pen by Captain Robert A. J. English. In fine condition, with a few small creases to the postcard.
