Third-person ADS, one page, 7.25 x 3, May 2, 1766. Handwritten receipt by Sherman, incorporating his signature within the text. In full: "Received of Roger Sherman Eighty one pounds nineteen shillings & eleven pence New York money to pay Mess'rs Lot & Low in New York on his account." Signed at the conclusion by Ebenezer Hurd. In very good to fine condition, with a central vertical fold, and paper loss to the corners.
