King Charles IV announces the marriage of his daughter to Prince Francis I of the Two Sicilies

King of Spain and the Spanish Empire from 1788 until 1808. LS in Spanish, signed “Carlos R,” one page, 9.25 x 13.75, July 5, 1802. Letter to his brother, Ferdinand I, King of the Two Sicilies, officially announcing and accepting the marriage of his youngest daughter, Maria Isabel, to his brother's eldest son, Francis, heir apparent to the throne of the Two Sicilies. In fine condition. Francis would ascend to the throne in 1825, with Maria Isabel as his queen consort. Their son, Ferdinand II, was the successor, ruling from 1830 to 1859. A significant letter between brothers and monarchs.
