"He can't get any time off from his work at the Columbia studios, he's in the law Dept. there—I told him he should sue them!"

TLS signed “Stan,” two pages, 6 x 7, personal letterhead, May 19, 1956. Letter to his former private secretary, Ernest Murphy, in part: "Was shocked to hear the news of the accident, it's a miracle you weren't killed, must have been a hell of a crash to tear out the front seat & break the steering wheel, you were sure lucky Ernie that you survived it, that certainly proves the luck of the Irish. What happened to the other guy?…Eda's niece, Ida Mae, is getting married June 9th. They are going to Las Vegas alone, so we'll have a little celebration when they return, they go up there on Saturday & back Sunday as he can't get any time off from his work at the Columbia studios, he's in the law Dept. there—I told him he should sue them!" In fine condition, with trimmed edges.
