Glossy 10 x 7.75 publicity photo of the Grateful Dead circa 1989, signed in black felt tip, "Jerry Garcia," "Phil Lesh," "Bobby Weir," "Mickey Hart," and "Billy Kreutzmann," and inscribed in an unknown hand, "Thanks to Manny's." In very good to fine condition, with overall crazing and toning, and discoloration to the bottom of the image. Originally displayed amongst the hundreds of other signed photos at New York City's well-known Manny's Music Store—a popular shopping destination for huge touring acts like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, and Jimi Hendrix, the latter granted private access to shop the store after closing hours—this appealing and crisply signed photo of the group's longtime core members has retained an impressive appearance. The majority of sold photos from Manny's bear significant water damage from the two occasions in which the store's sprinklers were set off; an uncommonly preserved example, this photo is made all the more desirable by its landmark inscription. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA.
