November 1967 by Chas Chandler, Jimi Hendrix’s manager, by way of documentation, when I was commissioned to make a stage costume for Jimi from designs I had shown to Jimi ten days before, during the night he spent at poet Jules Deelder and my sister Roselie’s house after his performance at the Hippy Happy festival in Rotterdam.”
