Description

Two items: the self-titled debut album by The Pretenders, signed on the front cover in red ballpoint by Chrissie Hynde and James Honeyman-Scott, and in black ballpoint by Martin Chambers and Pete Farndon, who curiously signs his name as "Rita Pontoon"; and a personalized Martin Chambers 16″ drum stick used on stage by Chambers when the band played at Sheffield City Hall on October 17, 1980. In overall fine condition, with expected wear from use to drum stick. Accompanied by a letter of provenance from the original recipient, who states: "I was given this album by the band when I helped out their cook, Naomi, backstage at Sheffield City Hall on the 1980 tour when they were supported by UB40. Martin also gave me the drum stick. Don't know why Pete signed it 'Rita Pontoon' but he was acting daft at the time."
