I therefore allow myself to inform you by letter that I am applying for the new chair of the musical section of l'Academie des Beaux Arts. By asking for your high benevolence, your support, your protection—and (if you find me worthy of it): your voice!" In very good to fine condition, with light creasing, and two short edge tears.
