Description

French physiologist (1850-1935) who won the 1913 Nobel Prize in Medicine for his work in anaphylaxis, which led to advances in the treatment of allergies. ALS in French, two pages on two adjoining sheets, 5 x 8, exotic illustrated letterhead, July 20, 1893. Letter concerning a potential Protestant baptism, in part (translated): "I know a foreign lady who, for various reasons that will suit you, wishes to have her little girl baptized in the Protestant temple. How does Protestant baptism work. Is there a godfather or a godmother?" In fine condition.
