Accomplished in graphite on slightly trimmed 11 x 8.5 artist paper, which is signed in the lower right, “Follmer.” Character images measure 2 x 6.75 (left centaurette), 3.75 x 3 (Bacchus), and 2.75 x 6.25 (right centaurette), with a mat opening of 9.5 x 7. Triple-matted to an overall size of 17 x 14. In fine condition. Follmer worked at Walt Disney Studios from the late 1930s through the early 1940s, assisting on projects like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Pinocchio, and Fantasia. He alienated Walt Disney when he organized a strike against the studio, and ultimately left to join the Navy.
