Description

Ink signature and inscription as president, "As usual a most pleasant weekend with [Mr. Hassett], Harry S. Truman, 2/22/52,” on an off-white 4 x 2 place card bearing an embossed presidential flag. Beautifully cloth-matted and framed with a plaque and portrait of Truman to an overall size of 12 x 21. In fine condition. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from JSA. This place card was used aboard the presidential yacht, U.S.S. Williamsburg, during the period Truman was aboard: February 21 to 24, 1952. Hassett served as correspondence secretary under President Truman after President Roosevelt died in 1945, serving until 1952.
