ALS signed “Hermine,” one page both sides, 8.25 x 10.5, November 18, 1939. Letter to "Mr. Bigelow," in part: "We did not send for the mentioned books & have no idea who could have done it. Certainly it was not our 'Absender'? Good news from Kira, Leila & the sweet babe! The Emperor is well. Our gentlemen are in military service. Only Dommes is coming here from time to time. You Americans ought to keep out of war! Germany is strong & united." In fine condition, with an unobtrusive short slice to the bottom edge.
