Later, after flying on Apollo 15, Worden took a position at Ames Research Center in California, first serving as a Senior Aerospace Scientist, then as chief of the Systems Study Division from 1973 to 1975.

From the collection of Apollo 15 CMP Al Worden, and accompanied by a letter of provenance from his daughter Alison (Worden) Penczak.
