Al Worden’s oversized official color semi-glossy 20 x 16 NASA photo of a well-protected Apollo command and service module being lifted by crane into the Aero Spacelines Pregnant Guppy for transfer, signed by approximately 90 members of the engineering team that worked on the development of the Apollo CSM-112, more popularly known as the Endeavour, the spacecraft Worden used to orbit the moon an astounding 74 times. An unknown hand has added an inscription to the upper right: “To Al Worden, Best wishes from the CSM 112 Team!” Reverse of photo bears “A Kodak Paper” watermarks. In fine condition, with some scattered creases and wear to edges. An appealing and uncommon image that hosts a bountiful assemblage of unsung Apollo Program heroes.
From the collection of Apollo 15 CMP Al Worden, and accompanied by a letter of provenance from his daughter Alison (Worden) Penczak.
